Nominator's project description

Professor Aristilde has a reputation of combining molecular experimental and computational techniques to address fundamental research questions at the interfaces of environmental chemistry, environmental biochemistry and environmental bioengineering. She applies metabolomics approaches for high-resolution chemical fingerprinting of cellular metabolism and has made important contributions in elucidating bacterial carbon recycling. During her stay in Germany, Professor Aristilde intends to uncover new biological ways for sustainable carbon recovery from complex wastes.
